The deadline for turning in your application for Leadership Frisco Class 19 is getting closer! To be considered, your application must be turned in by by 5:00 PM on June 12, 2015! I highly recommend the experience for anyone with an interest in community leadership and civic responsibility. Your experience with this class will be one you never forget.

The program will start in September with inaugural mandatory opening session on September 11, and then will meet one Friday (all day) each month. Your time will be spent exploring the inner workings of Frisco’s government, educational system, economic development, service organizations, regional issues, leisure and culture, health services, and public safety. Participants will also learn about and get to practice skills critical to working with volunteers and groups in the community and their businesses. Members of the program will also select and complete a class project during their year that benefits Frisco.

As many of you know, I am a graduate of Leadership Frisco Class 10 and went on to serve on the Advisory Board.  I highly recommend the experience for local individuals who have an interest in community leadership and civic responsibility. Your experience with this class will be one you never forget.

The Frisco Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the upcoming Leadership Frisco class.  The program will start in September with inaugural mandatory opening session on September 11, and then will meet one Friday (all day) each month. Your time will be spent exploring the inner workings of Frisco’s government, educational system, economic development, service organizations, regional issues, leisure and culture, health services, and public safety. Participants will also learn about and get to practice skills critical to working with volunteers and groups in the community and their businesses. Members of the program will also select and complete a class project during their year that benefits Frisco.

Time to Submit Your Leadership Frisco Applications

As a reminder, this is the last week to apply for Leadership Frisco Class XVIII (2014-2015) as they are due on Friday, June 13, 2014.

Leadership Frisco is a nine-month community leadership program sponsored by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce which develops a pool of qualified, well-informed individuals set to assume leadership roles in the community. It seeks out local, highly motivated individuals interested in expanding their leadership skills, deepening their sense of civic responsibility and in heightening their involvement in volunteer opportunities, neighborhood associations and the community as a whole.

I am a graduate of Leadership Frisco Class 10 and went on to serve on the Advisory Board.  I’ve written quite a bit about this program over the years, so it will come as no surprise that I think it’s an extremely worthwhile endeavor. I highly recommend the experience for local individuals who have an interest in community leadership and civic responsibility. Your experience with this class will be one you never forget.
