Social Insights: 2014 3 Stacks Paddy Dash

2014 3 Stacks Paddy Dash
Over the past several months, I’ve had the privilege of working with Geoffrey and the Frisco Sunrise Rotary Club to promote the 3 Stacks Paddy Dash 5K and Fun Run on social media channels. In my work, I see again and again that social media simply illuminates whatever an organization is doing and enables visibility to a wider audience. It is such a pleasure to work with a group that is who they claim to be through and through, and who delivers so completely on their promises. I have been extremely impressed on all counts.

While the purpose of the Paddy Dash is to raise money for local charities, they have to remain mindful of the needs of sponsors and participants in order to do so. My family and I participated in the 5K, and we were blown away! I highly recommend attending even if you’re not interested in running. The music was amazing – huge props to Philipalooza – and the atmosphere was entertaining for all ages. With great food, beer, bounce houses, face painting, sponsor booths, and the silent auction there was plenty to do for everyone. Close parking was plentiful too.

For the runners, the race was a blast. It was well organized, safe, with an easy to follow route and room to run for all paces. Strollers, dogs, athletes, and weekend warriors all co-existed happily. Kudos to Geoffrey and the Frisco Sunrise Rotary Club for putting on an amazing event! I’m looking forward to next year, and hope to see you all there.

Any friend of Geoffrey’s is a friend of mine! If you have questions about this or any social media issue, please tell me about it! I’d love to hear from you. You can also read more on my blog.
