Frisco Enterprise Reader’s Choice Awards

I was over whelmed to be the recipient of the Frisco Enterprise Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Mortgage Lender and Best Financial Services!  It was just an honor to be nominated for the 2 categories and to win them both – thank you!  Here’s the article that ran in the paper:

Geoffrey Davis, First United Bank Mortgage Group

Geoffrey Davis Readers Choice AwardsGeoffrey Davis is a mortgage lender who has been serving clients in Frisco and the DFW area for more than 12 years. Always following his personal motto of “keeping it real,” he helps clients walk through the practicality of what they can afford versus what they really need to spend to meet their needs.

Davis works for the First United Bank Mortgage Group located at 6401 S. Custer Road in McKinney.  First United has been in business for over 100 years and is one of the nation’s premier financial institutions offering a full range of personal banking, commercial, wealth management, insurance and mortgage products and services to customers with over 30 locations throughout Oklahoma and Texas.  In 2013, First United closed over $1 billion in residential mortgage loans. Davis is one of First United’s top 10 Mortgage Loan Consultants closing over $25 million last year.

As a mortgage lender, Davis offers clients an array of lending products including Conventional, Federal Housing Administration backed, Veteran’s Affairs backed and Jumbo loans. He also specializes in secondary and vacation homes along with investment properties.

“It means a lot that folks thought enough of me to take time out of their day to vote, my 4 kids think it rocks they have a ‘famous dad’!” Davis said. “Given that we’re all so busy, I am honored to be selected by the community for this award.”

Using a straight-forward approach that puts client’s needs above business, Davis helps people find practical loan programs that meet their long-term goals that allow them to experience the joys of home ownership.

“Without a doubt, the most important thing is communication,” Davis said. “Borrowers need to know what is expected of them and what to expect from us as lenders in return. From there, it’s making sure those responsible for getting the loan closed understand their accountabilities and the nuances associated with each loan.”

In 1996, Davis was selected to carry the Olympic torch as it passed through Kansas on its way to Atlanta. Today, he carries the torch of financial responsibility for his Frisco clients and those of the surrounding community.
