If you were among the many LinkedIn Answers users, you’re painfully aware that the feature was retired in January of this year. While the service was apparently not used widely enough to justify its support, many of my contacts were regular users and not happy to see it discontinued. The ability to ask and answer questions in a public forum provided an opportunity to demonstrate professional expertise and make connections with people who would otherwise be inaccessible, if not completely unknown.
Enter Quora. Founded by former Facebookers Adam D’Angelo and Charlie Cheever in 2009, it launched in private beta in 2010 and has enjoyed continued growth ever since. Getting started on Quora is easy – just follow these guidelines.
