Bowl for Kids’ Sake benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters
March 22, 2010Here is a note from a few of my fellow Rotarians who are bowling for kids and would love your support! I am participating in this year’s “Bowl For Kids’ Sake” benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters. Along with my fellow Rotarians, our goal is to raise $100 per team member to support this worthy cause. The event is tomorrow, March 20th, 2010 and the proceeds go to help move kids off the waiting list for a Big Brother or Big Sister. I ask you to please consider supporting our efforts! Every dollar help – Please click this link to donate to one of our teams: Jennifer Kimble or Erin Meltabarger
Big Brothers Big Sisters is the nation’s preeminent youth-service organization. With a century of experience in matching volunteer Bigs with children, Big Brothers Big Sisters has the model and method for making these relationships strong, fun, and happy. Our service is based on our volunteers. Big Brothers and Big Sisters are, most importantly, friends to children. They share everyday activities, expand horizons, and help their Littles to experience the joy in even the simplest events. Within these little moments lies the big magic of the relationship between a Big Brother or Big Sister and their Little.

Lochrann’s Paddy Dash
March 15, 2010Lochrann’s Paddy Dash- Huge success! Were you part of the 384 entrants for this year’s event promoted by Frisco Sunrise Rotary? Our run last year was cold, misty and 170 brave souls came out to join us- so with temps in the 60′s- we were glad to see so many of you come out to join us. Results are posted on the site- how did you do? I saw a good amount of City leaders on hand; Frisco Mayor Maso, Councilman Jeff Cheney and Patrick Fallon, Jill Cumnock from Frisco Family Services Center and local icon- Randy Creech ran the 5k! Hours of volunteer time was spent on this event and it would not have happened without the support of our great sponsors! I hope you will join us in 2011- as a runner, walker or a sponsor- we can use you!
