Frisco Sunrise Rotary and Lochrann’s Paddy Dash

Frisco Sunrise Rotary is promoting a 5k and 1 mile fun run/walk on March 13th.  Join us at the 2nd annual Lochrann’s Paddy Dash in beautiful Frisco Square to benefit Frisco Family Service Center (FFSC).  Kids 8 and under can run in the Piddy Pat 50 yard dash and you can enter your dog in the Piddy Paw where all proceed go to the Frisco Dog Park group.  More than just a run, this event is intended to have something for the whole family. There will be bounce houses for the kids, a silent auction, face painting and a few surprises.

 

Today is sponsorship pitch day.  Many of you know that I am an active Rotarian here in Frisco.  Last year we successfully promoted a run in Frisco Square called – The Lochrann’s Paddy Dash.  Not to leave out the kids- there was also the 50 yard Piddy Pat Dash.  So we are full steam for 2010 and wanted to show you the sponsorship opportunities we have.  Love to have you involved with this event that all of our proceeds goes to Frisco Family Services Center.  Bounce for Fun will provide and unbelievable kids area.  CareFlite has agreed to be our medical sponsor and will have an ambulance and a helicopter for the kids to tour.  Our DJ sponsor is SoundMasters DJ Entertainment

Tankard Fellowship

Tankard Fellowship is a Monthly men’s event held on the 2nd Tuesday with an 8:30pm start time at Lochrann’s Irish Pub. August 10th is the next meeting.  The idea is simple, Christian men connecting over a pint.  It started in June, 2008.

2009 Lochrann’s Paddy Dash was a Hit!

It was a true joy to be a part of this event as we raised much needed funds for Frisco Family Services Center.  Even with an established event down in Dallas and the start of Spring break- we had a great number of folks pre register for the event.  Then, day of with 40 deg and a mist in the air- even more folks showed!!!! 
 
Special thanks to Maher Maso, Jill Cumnock, Tracy Jantz, Cynthia Culver, Jennifer Atwood, Launa Vaughn, Kristie Henderson, Peter and Marla Horn, Bob Shaver, Ed Mahoney, Katrina Watland, Deina McNabb, Eric Austin, Eddie Church and all the men and women of Frisco Sunrise Rotary!  Thanks all to those who donated items for the Silent Auction and offers for the Goodie Bags- you all made the event memorable! We are already planning for next year as this event is a keeper.

Ready to Paddy Dash?

Rain, sun, warm, or cold, the Lochrann’s Paddy Dash is this Saturday, March 14th. Presented by Behringer Harvard, come join us for the inaugural run and get lifetime bragging rights to say that you were there in the beginning. I cannot not think of a better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than to get outside with friends and family-all while getting a little exercise. There will also be a free “Pitty Pat Dash” for all those 8-years and under; all little racers will receive their very own medal. There will also be various vendors as well as specialty items for the kids like face painting.  Best of all, all proceeds will benefit Frisco Family Services Center.  Online registration is available until Tuesday at midnight, so check it out now and get all the details.
