Hoops in the Square

We Did It!  Hoops in the Square happened this weekend in Frisco with over 200 athletes in attendance!  Some famous folks joined us, Former Maverick great, Derek Harper, Maverick’s Director of Scouting, Reggie Johnson, Todd Bristol with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Jed Bush’s son, George P Bush.  Some famous folks even played on teams: Collin County Judge, Keith Self and Frisco City Councilman Jeff Cheney did a fine job representing the County and City!  

 

Our event Board members were overwhelmed as were our Sponsors.  We had the privilege of working with the founder of Hoop de Do and Hoop it Up, Linda Murphy and she had this to say to us after the tournament:  Heartiest congratulations on the first year of Frisco Hoops in the Square.  It was really fantastic!  Not only well organized and lots of fun, but very successful in so many ways and great training for next year.  Everyone had a grand time, and that will make next year even bigger and better. It was just fabulous.  I am so proud of you, and everyone that worked so hard to make it successful.
