I want to know as well. The question stems from the Bond Market and what can we expect Rates to do around the corner? I can tell you this- none of the experts predicted that rates would do this small climb they have done over the last few weeks. What with the Fed about to lower rates and most economist believing the worst is still to come- that makes Bonds more attractive, right?
If you remember from past Weeklys- our Mortgage rates are tied closely to what the Bond traders are doing. And when Stocks do not look like a good value- folks pour their money into Bonds. When they do that- it changes the Bond price and historically- brings Mortgage Rates down.
What my guy says. I pay a company big bucks for them to predict the Market and they still say float as the turn around is soon. But they also say the rise in rates can be tied to one man- they call him, Richard “Loose Lips” Fisher. He is the Dallas Fed President. We had an article about him in the Dallas Morning News this weekend and they even said that he has a history of saying what he feels without restraint. He did so on February 7th and again last week. When he speaks, speculators listen to hear between the lines and then trade their positions accordingly.
Hold on- it will be a bumpy ride but I trust my guys- the best is yet to come.

I have two Residential Home Inspectors to whom I consistently send clients. I even have them both on my website as I trust them so much. Deb Sadler with 20/20 and Robert Brummell with Brummell Inspection. From time to time they share some secrets with me.
Here are some from Deb:
When was the last time you had your HVAC checked? Install a thermostat timer to save money. The timer can be set to automatically raise and lower the temperature during peak and off-hours. If your home has rooms that are seldom used, keep the doors shut most of the time. Make sure the rooms get enough heat to prevent mildew from growing or contents being damaged. Keep your HVAC system clean as good maintenance improves efficiency, reduces waste and lowers costs.

Frisco, TX is an unbelievable City to live in a watch grow. We have been written about by Forbes.com for the Top 10 Fastest Growing Cites in America. But I belive we are best known for our leadership. We have an amazing City Manager, Mayor and Council as well as the rest of the City Staff and community.
But our shining star is Jerry Holder, Board Chairman for the Frisco Economic Development Corporation. Aside from the great work he does- we also get to sit next to him at church as he and his family are members at our church, St. Philip’s Episcopal. Read this edition of our City Newsletter called
Focal Point on page 10 and see what is on the horizon for this City.
